SUSSEX ARCHITECTURAL STUDY

Photographing architectural structures has lead me to become fascinated with concrete. The development of reinforced concrete in architectural history coincided perfectly with the emergence of modernist design. I am also interested in the parallels between the photographic and concrete production processes.  “Just as a photograph is a positive image printed from a previously exposed negative, so a work in concrete is a positive form cast from a previously constructed negative mould.” Adrian Forty – Concrete and CUlture
